" 'Culture' can be defined as the set of customs, traditions, habits, beliefs, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social groups.

Educators who "teach for the culture" recognize the importance of including our students' cultural references in all aspects of learning, and amplify the voices of Black, Brown & Indigenous students, and families of Color.
